At the time the Rotary Wheel rolled into Hardin County, the population of Elizabethtown was approximately 2,850. On February 1, 1935, fifteen or so business and professional men of Elizabethtown, spearheaded by Professional Henry C. Taylor, met at the Joplin Hotel. The rest is history.
The Elizabethtown Rotary Club recently celebrated 80 years of active service in the Elizabethtown area. Since it's start in 1935, the club has grown to include more than 40 active members with a variety of men and women representing a diverse range of career fields.
The Club meets weekly on Tuesdays at Elizbethtown Community & Technical College, OTB room 303 at 12:00 pm.
